About Us

Background:

Founded in 2013, the NYC Agriculture Collective is a registered 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the promotion of progressive urban agriculture and AgTech initiatives, food equity, and education in NYC.

The NYC Agriculture Collective has a vast network of local, national, and international partners, both public and private. These include some of the world’s leading vertical farms, an innovative non-profit using vertical farming to transform NYC public schools, top academic institutions, and urban agriculture advisory firms.

Impacts:

The NYC Agriculture Collective is the producer of both the events Fresh in February and NYC AgTech Week, one of the leading AgTech industry conferences in the world.

Along with the impacts from our industry events, our testimony and expertise has contributed to the creation of the Office of Sustainability in the NYC Mayor's Office, the passing of Bill 1661-A, the Green Roofs Act, and former Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams New Agrarian Economy Report.

Meet the Board

From entrepreneurs to hydroponicists, serial founders and consultants, the board of the NYC Agriculture Collective is guided by professionals and leaders in the urban agriculture and AgTech industries.

Our Partner Network

The NYC Agriculture Collective Network is comprised of a wide variety of urban agriculture and AgTech companies that come from a diverse set of backgrounds. They have created hundreds of jobs in the New York and New Jersey areas alone over just the past few years. Together, we leverage each others expertise and networks to drive urban agriculture and AgTech innovation and impact in the Greater New York City area and beyond.
